Detailed 14 Days Uganda Wildlife Safari
Day 1: On arrival at Entebbe International Airport
your driver guide will pick you up from the airport and transfer you to Kampala overnight in Kampala.
Day 2: The marvelous Murchison Falls National Park

Game Drive in Murchison Falls National Park
Your driver/guide will pick you up from the hotel and then start your drive to Murchison falls national park with a stopover in Masindi for lunch while en route. Murchison Falls National Park covers 3,840-sq km and has recorded 76 mammal species and 450 bird species.
Arrive in the park then drive to the Top of the Falls for a breathtaking sight of the raging Nile as it forces its way through a rocky gap barely six meters wide.
Transfer to Pakuba Safari Lodge for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 3 of 14 Days Uganda Wildlife Safari: The Boat cruise on the River Nile
Start the day with an early morning game drive in search of those animals that are unique to the African Savannah like giraffes, antelopes, lions, elephants, and the Uganda Kobs. The birdlife is also impressive, with the eagle and the rare shoebill being among the prized sightings. During your game drive request your guide to show you the Congo Blue Mountains, on a clear morning.
After lunch, you will go for a launch cruise on the Nile River. The cruise takes you to the bottom of the thundering falls where you will see huge crocodiles, schools of hippos, buffaloes, elephants, and a variety of water birds.
Day 4: Fort portal on the shadow of the mountains of the moon
After early breakfast, drive from Murchison Falls National park southwest via the Albertine Escarpment of the western rift valley. Drive through Hoima the town of the Bunyoro Kingdom passing through the verdant countryside, tea plantations, and traditional homesteads. You will arrive in Fort Portal, the capital of the Tooro kingdom in the shadow of the fabled mountains of the moon Rwenzori.

Day 5 of the 14 Days Uganda Wildlife Safari: Chimpanzee trekking
Go for an early morning chimpanzee trek in Kibale National Park. Enjoy a traditional meal prepared by one of the families in the local community. The afternoon will take you through the Bigodi village, visiting the local homesteads and getting to know their way of life.
Dinner and overnight stay at Forest Camp/ Ndali Lodge.
Day 6: Hot Springs in Semliki
Visit the Semliki National Park. This park has fantastic scenery, hot springs, forest walk, amazing birdlife, primates viewing and Semliki River meanders. At Mungu Ni Mukubwa while in the mountains, the road offers scenic views of the meandering river, fuming hot springs, and tropical rainforest.
Visit the Bambuti (pygmy) community. Have a picnic lunch at the Sempaya hot springs and then drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park following the mystical Rwenzori Mountain range for much of the journey.
Dinner and overnight stay at Enganzi Game Lodge / Ihamba Lodge.
Day 7: Kyambura Gorge and Boat cruise on the Kazinga channel
Rise before the sun and drive to Kyambura Gorge for a thrilling chimpanzee trek. Your guided walk may last three to five hours and in addition to seeing the chimps, the trip may yield sightings of the colobus monkeys, baboons, red-tailed and vervet monkeys, and other primates. It is important to note that the chimpanzee safari is subject to the availability of permits and good weather because occasional flooding can make the trails impassable.
Return to the lodge for lunch and take an afternoon Launch cruise on Kazinga Channel one that joins Lakes Edward and George. The cruise is a wonderful way to see hippos, buffalo, kob, and the occasional Nile crocodile (which up until recently did not inhabit this area), and a spectacular bird watching on the riverbank. Many who experience the launch cruise consider it the highlight of their entire African safari.
Return for dinner and overnight stay at the Mweya Safari Lodge / Ihamba Lodge.
Day 8 of the 14 Days Uganda Wildlife Safari: Game drive in the Ishasha
Have a very early breakfast and then go for a morning game drive to catch up with the early risers and predators returning to their hideouts. You will most likely meet grazing Hippos, Elephants, Lions, spotted Hyenas, bushbucks, waterbucks, stripped jackals, comical warthogs, and the elusive leopard.
Drive further along the deep and wide dry craters that are occupied by savanna grass and acacia trees. The drive takes you through the unique western rift valley escarpment and to the (southern part of Queen Elizabeth National Park) Ishasha sector. Lunch break then take on yet another game drive in search of tree-climbing lions.
Dinner and overnight stay at Ishasha Wilderness Camp / Ntungwe River Lodge.
Day 9: Bwindi impenetrable national park
After early breakfast then takes on another game drive in search of tree-climbing lions then proceed to Bwindi where you will arrive in time for a late lunch. Bwindi Impenetrable National Park is home to rare mountain gorillas. Apart from gorillas, there is a wide variety of primates to see including blue and red-tailed monkeys. The forest itself is lush and green and there are streams running through it.
Dinner and overnight stay at Silverback Lodge / Nkuringo Safari Lodge.
Day 10: Encounter with the mountain Gorillas
After breakfast, set off early with guides to track the gorillas. The thrill of your encounter will erase the difficulties of the potentially strenuous trek. Bring jungle boots and rain jackets because the park is often wet. Spend time in awe watching the gorillas go about their activities. Each encounter is different and has its own rewards, but you are likely to enjoy the close view of adults feeding, grooming, and resting as the youngsters frolic and swing from vines in a delightfully playful display.
Bwindi Impenetrable Forest is a magnificent green swathe of dense rainforest, so ancient that survived the last ice age. A recently proclaimed World Heritage site, it’s one of the most biologically diverse areas on earth and its unique, precious flora sustains roughly half of the world’s population of mountain gorillas believed to number just 600.
There is also a substantial chimpanzee population and research shows that Bwindi is the only forest in Africa in which these two apes live together. Return for dinner and overnight at Silverback Lodge / Nkuringo Safari Lodge.
Day 11 of the 14 Days Uganda Wildlife Safari: The wonderful Lake Bunyonyi
After an early breakfast transfer to Lake Bunyonyi in Kabale. Lunch break then take on an afternoon boat ride to some of the islands on the lake.
Dinner and overnight stay at Ha Buharo Resort.

Day 12: Transfer to Lake Mburo National Park
Early morning boat ride on Lake Bunyonyi to various islands on the lake for bird viewing, sightseeing, and discovering the sites of the Bakiga culture.
You then drive to Lake Mburo National park with lunch en-route. Dinner and overnight At Hyena Hills Lodge.
Day 13: Game drive and Boat ride then back to Kampala
Enjoy an early morning game drive along the trails of Lake Mburo National park to see Zebras, kobs, bird species, and other attractions.
Have breakfast and enjoy the boat ride along Lake Mburo National park to see hippos, birds, etc. Have lunch and transfer to Kampala for the overnight.
Day 14 : City tour and departure
Reserved for a city tour around Kampala. You will visit important cultural and religious sites. Have lunch and prepare to leave for Entebbe International airport for your flight back.
