From Entebbe to Murchison Falls, Kibale, Queen Elizabeth, Bwindi and Lake Bunyonyi — and back to Entebbe. Follow the day-by-day timeline below.
Your 14-Day Uganda Gorilla and Wildlife Safari begins when you arrive at Entebbe International Airport. Our representative will meet you at the airport and transfer you to your accommodation in Entebbe. Depending on your arrival time, you can relax at the hotel or take a short walk around the town.
Entebbe is located on the shores of Lake Victoria and provides a relaxed introduction to Uganda before the safari begins.

After breakfast, begin your journey north toward Murchison Falls National Park. A major highlight today is a stop at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary, where you can enjoy a guided walking experience to see southern white rhinos in their natural environment.
After the rhino experience, continue toward Murchison Falls National Park, Uganda's largest national park. Arrive at your lodge in the evening and relax as you prepare for your first full wildlife experience.

Wake up early for a morning game drive through Murchison Falls National Park. The early hours provide excellent opportunities to encounter wildlife as animals become active after sunrise. Depending on the route, you may see elephants, giraffes, buffaloes, Uganda kob, hartebeest, antelopes and other wildlife.
Return to the lodge for lunch and some relaxation. In the afternoon, take a boat cruise along the Victoria Nile toward the base of Murchison Falls. The riverbanks are home to hippos, crocodiles, elephants and numerous water birds.

After breakfast, enjoy another short wildlife drive as you leave the park. Visit the Top of Murchison Falls, where the powerful Nile River squeezes through a narrow gorge before plunging through the falls. The viewpoint provides impressive scenery and excellent photography opportunities.
Continue toward Hoima for an overnight stay and a comfortable break before continuing south toward Kibale Forest.

After breakfast, continue to Kibale Forest National Park. The journey takes you through Uganda's green countryside, with rolling hills, farms, villages and scenic views along the way.
Kibale is widely known for its primate diversity and is particularly famous for chimpanzee tracking. Arrive at your lodge, check in and spend the rest of the afternoon relaxing.
Today you will explore Kibale Forest on a guided chimpanzee tracking experience. After briefing at the park headquarters, enter the forest with experienced guides and search for chimpanzees. Along the way, you may encounter other primates, including red-tailed monkeys, black-and-white colobus monkeys, blue monkeys and grey-cheeked mangabeys. Kibale is also an excellent destination for birdwatching and forest photography.
After the trek, return to the lodge for lunch and relaxation. In the afternoon, you may visit a nearby community or enjoy a nature-based activity depending on your interests and timing.
After breakfast, leave Kibale and travel toward Queen Elizabeth National Park. The route passes through the beautiful landscapes of western Uganda, including the crater lake region.
After arrival, enjoy an afternoon game drive in the park if time allows. Queen Elizabeth National Park is known for elephants, buffaloes, lions, leopards, Uganda kob and several antelope species.

Start the morning with a game drive through Queen Elizabeth National Park. The Kasenyi Plains are particularly popular for wildlife viewing, with opportunities to see Uganda kob, buffaloes, elephants and other savanna species. Return to the lodge for lunch.
In the afternoon, enjoy a boat cruise along the Kazinga Channel, one of Uganda's most rewarding wildlife experiences. The channel connects Lake Edward and Lake George and attracts large numbers of hippos, crocodiles, elephants and water birds.

After breakfast, drive toward Bwindi Impenetrable Forest through the southern sector of Queen Elizabeth National Park. If road and wildlife conditions allow, enjoy a game drive in the Ishasha sector, famous for its tree-climbing lions. The area also supports elephants, buffaloes, topi, Uganda kob and other wildlife.
Continue toward Bwindi, arriving at your lodge later in the day.

Today is the highlight of your 14-Day Uganda Gorilla and Wildlife Safari — gorilla trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. After an early breakfast, travel to the appropriate park headquarters for briefing. You will then enter the rainforest with trained Uganda Wildlife Authority guides and trackers in search of a habituated mountain gorilla family.
The trek can take several hours depending on where the gorillas are located. Once you find them, you will spend the permitted viewing time observing their behavior and photographing the experience from a safe distance. After the trek, return to your lodge to rest.

After breakfast, enjoy a cultural experience around Bwindi. Depending on your chosen sector and available activities, you can visit a Batwa community or take part in another local cultural experience.
The experience provides an opportunity to learn about traditional lifestyles, local crafts, music, dance and the relationship between communities and the forest. Spend the afternoon relaxing at the lodge or enjoying the surrounding scenery.

After breakfast, leave Bwindi and travel toward Lake Bunyonyi. The drive takes you through some of southwestern Uganda's most scenic countryside, with terraced hills, valleys and local communities.
Arrive at Lake Bunyonyi and check in at your accommodation. The afternoon is free for relaxation or an optional boat ride on the lake.

After breakfast, begin the journey back toward Entebbe. The long drive provides another opportunity to experience Uganda's countryside and local life. Lunch will be taken en route before continuing toward Entebbe.
Arrive in the evening and check in for your final night in Uganda.

Enjoy breakfast at the hotel and prepare for your departure. Depending on your flight schedule, you may have time for a short visit to the Uganda Wildlife Education Centre or a final walk around Entebbe. Your guide will transfer you to Entebbe International Airport in time for your flight.
This marks the end of your 14-Day Uganda Gorilla and Wildlife Safari.

Pricing for this 14-Day Uganda Gorilla and Wildlife Safari depends on the number of travelers, gorilla and chimpanzee permit availability, travel dates and preferred accommodation level. Your personalized quotation will clearly show the permits, lodges, transport and activities included in your safari.
| Number of Travelers | Suggested Price Per Person |
|---|---|
| 1 Traveler | US$9,450 |
| 2 Travelers | US$6,850 |
| 3 Travelers | US$5,950 |
| 4 Travelers | US$5,450 |
| 5 Travelers | US$5,150 |
| 6 Travelers | US$4,950 |
Important: Rates are based on 2 travelers sharing a private 4×4 safari vehicle and accommodation. Final pricing should be confirmed based on the current gorilla and chimpanzee permit tariffs, park fees, lodge availability and your actual travel date. Luxury lodge upgrades are available on request.
A valid gorilla trekking permit and a chimpanzee tracking permit are required before undertaking the treks. UWA's published 2024–June 2026 tariff listed the foreign non-resident gorilla tracking permit at US$800, with the permit covering the guide fee, park entrance for the day and community development contribution.
Because that published tariff period ended in June 2026, the applicable permit rates for your actual travel date should be confirmed with Uganda Wildlife Authority before final payment. Permit availability is limited, so we recommend contacting Tarec Gorilla Safaris as early as possible with your preferred travel dates.
