After an early briefing at the Kanyanchu visitor centre, enter the forest to track wild chimpanzees. Kibale boasts the highest density of primates in Africa; keep your eyes peeled for red‑tailed monkeys and grey‑cheeked mangabeys. In the afternoon, explore the Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary, a community‑run birding paradise where you might spot the Great Blue Turaco.

We head south toward Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. The drive takes us through the Ishasha Sector of Queen Elizabeth National Park, famous for its unique tree‑climbing lions. We’ll scan the massive fig trees for a glimpse of these majestic predators before ascending into the Kigezi highlands, often called the “Switzerland of Africa”.
