Day 1: The Journey to the Mist
Equator crossing · Mbarara lunch · Kigezi highlands · Bwindi arrival

Your adventure begins with a scenic drive from Kampala or Entebbe. As we head southwest, we'll make a classic stop at the Equator for photos and a water experiment demonstration. After a delicious lunch in Mbarara, the landscape transforms into the "Switzerland of Africa": lush, terraced hills and mist-covered valleys. We arrive at your lodge on the edge of Bwindi in the evening for dinner and the sounds of the forest.

Day 2: The Ultimate Gorilla Trek
Bwindi Impenetrable Forest · One hour with the gorillas · Batwa walk option

Today is the day! After an early breakfast and a briefing at the park headquarters, you will be assigned to a gorilla family. Led by expert Uganda Wildlife Authority (UWA) rangers, you'll head into the thick jungle. The trek can take anywhere from 2 to 6 hours, but the moment you lock eyes with a mountain gorilla, the effort vanishes. You will spend one unforgettable hour observing them play, groom, and feed.

Afternoon option: A community walk to visit the Batwa Pygmies, the original "Keepers of the Forest."
