Your Ngamba Island Chimpanzee Experience begins in Entebbe. After breakfast, meet your Tarec Gorilla Safaris driver and transfer to the boat departure point. Depending on your arrangement, the boat journey across Lake Victoria takes approximately 45 minutes. As you cruise toward Ngamba Island, enjoy views of Lake Victoria, fishing communities and the surrounding islands. The sanctuary is located approximately 23 km from Entebbe in Lake Victoria.

Arrive at Ngamba Island Chimpanzee Sanctuary and join a guided sanctuary experience. The highlight is the chimpanzee feeding session, where you can observe the rescued chimpanzees from the designated viewing area. You will learn about chimpanzee conservation, their individual stories and the work involved in caring for rescued chimpanzees. This is also an excellent opportunity for wildlife photography.

After the chimpanzee experience, spend some time enjoying the island and Lake Victoria.
