Your 3-Day Queen Elizabeth National Park Safari begins with an early morning pickup from your hotel, residence or Entebbe International Airport. Meet your professional safari guide and begin the journey west towards Queen Elizabeth National Park. The drive takes you through Uganda's countryside, passing local communities, farms, trading centres and changing landscapes. Queen Elizabeth National Park is approximately 410 kilometres from Kampala, and the direct drive generally takes at least seven to eight hours.

As you approach the park, the landscape changes to open savannah, woodland and wetland habitats. After entering the park, you may begin seeing Uganda kob, warthogs, buffaloes, elephants and other wildlife. Continue to your lodge for check-in and lunch.

After lunch, head out for your first game drive. Your guide will explore the wildlife tracks while looking for elephants, buffaloes, Uganda kob, waterbucks, warthogs and other animals. Lions are also present in the park and may be encountered during the drive. Return to your lodge in the evening for dinner and overnight.

Wake up early for breakfast before beginning your morning game drive. The early morning provides an opportunity to explore the savannah before the temperatures rise. Your guide will take you through areas such as the Kasenyi Plains, where wildlife viewing can include Uganda kob, elephants, buffaloes, waterbucks and lions.

Queen Elizabeth National Park supports a broad range of wildlife, including elephants, buffaloes, hippos, Uganda kob, waterbucks and several predators. Your guide will look for recent wildlife activity and select routes according to the conditions on the day. After the game drive, return to the lodge for lunch and relaxation.

In the afternoon, enjoy one of the highlights of your 3-Day Queen Elizabeth National Park Safari: a boat cruise along the Kazinga Channel. The Kazinga Channel connects Lake Edward and Lake George and is one of the park's best places to observe wildlife from the water. During the cruise, you may see hippos, Nile crocodiles, elephants, buffaloes, waterbucks, warthogs, African fish eagles, pelicans, kingfishers and other waterbirds. After the cruise, return to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Wake up early for breakfast before beginning your final day. There are two ways to organize this day depending on your departure point and interests.

Option 1: Morning Game Drive — Enjoy another morning game drive in the northern section of Queen Elizabeth National Park before beginning your journey back to Kampala or Entebbe. This option provides additional time for wildlife viewing without making the return journey unnecessarily long.

Option 2: Ishasha Sector Extension — Travelers with a strong interest in wildlife can request an itinerary through the Ishasha sector in the southern part of Queen Elizabeth National Park. Ishasha is particularly famous for its tree-climbing lions. These lions are known for resting in large fig trees and other suitable trees while overlooking the savannah. However, sightings are not guaranteed, and adding Ishasha can make the final day's journey longer.

After your final wildlife experience, continue towards Entebbe or Kampala. Stop for lunch along the way before completing your journey. Your guide will drop you at your hotel, residence or Entebbe International Airport.
