Day 1: Arrival in Kigali – Domestic Flight to Musanze

Upon arrival at Kigali International Airport, you will be welcomed by your safari representative and transferred to the domestic terminal for your scheduled flight to Musanze.

Upon landing, your guide will transfer you to your budget lodge located close to Volcanoes National Park. Spend the afternoon relaxing and enjoying the beautiful volcanic scenery before dinner.

Day 2: Gorilla Trekking in Volcanoes National Park

After an early breakfast, transfer to the Volcanoes National Park headquarters for registration and a briefing by Rwanda Development Board rangers.

Begin your trek through the lush mountain forest in search of one of the habituated mountain gorilla families. Depending on their location, the trek may take between two and six hours.

Once you find the gorillas, spend one incredible hour observing them as they feed, play, and interact in their natural habitat.

After the trek, return to your lodge to relax and celebrate this once-in-a-lifetime experience.
